Current Favorites: Fashion, Beauty, Travel + More

July 25, 2018

I've been so busy, on the go, and all over the place lately! That can be a great thing, but a frustrating thing, because time seems to be going by so fast. So I want to slow down & do a quick blogpost for you guys talking about my favorite things recently!

As you know, I recently came back from a two week long trip to Europe and had the time of my life. There are so many favorite moments I want to share from that trip, as well as new products I've found, and upcoming projects I have! Open to read more

I want to talk about beauty for a moment. When traveling, keeping up a skincare routing, or any kind of routine can be hard. For me, I took alot of mini-travel care items with me. Sadly, I used up all of my favorite Origins lotion on the trip :'( but was able to test out the First Aid Beauty ultra repair cream, and I must say I'm very impressed. I don't tend to branch out alot on face creams, but I can definitely add this into my collection. The consistency is a bit thick but I can almost feel it clearing my small dry patches, and really tending to them.

Another skincare favorite brand is Mario Badescu, and I've talked about it a few times, but I've found a few new products I want to talk about. I've used the Herbs & Rosewater face mist a million times! This is actually my second bottle, but I also discovered the Chamomile & Lavender scent which is my go-to before bed, because the scent is so calming and soothing! The last facial spray I have is the Cucumber and Green Tea which is perfect when you're hot, or need an instant refresher!

Besides the spray, I've also been sing the Cucumber Cleansing Lotion, a couple of times at nights. It leaves your skin feeling cool, refreshed, and nearly new.

My summer scents have been the Maison Margiela Replica in Flower Market. The scent is the PERFECT summer scent; it is LITERALLY like you have a bouquet of flowers on you when you spray it on. My second summer go-to scent is the new Jo Malone scent in Plum Blossom. It's very bubbly, and citrus-y which really brings out the fruity summer vibes!

As for style, and clothing a new favorite of mine has been maxi dresses. I used to be scared to wear them because I'm very short (5'2) and felt they would drown me. But I've found some great ones that actually extenuate my height, and my body type.

i'm going to be doing a "perfect outfits for shorter girls" video on my youtube very soon! of course, the outfits aren't JUST for short girls, but being small myself, it can be tricky to find things that i can feel confident in!

OKAY. Let's talk about traveling for a moment. I know
I've been overwhelming you all with my travels on my social medias (IG, youtube, here) and I want to talk REAL for a second.

So I went to France, Spain, and Portugal over the course of TWO WEEKS. I will be honest. It was long as hell. But beautiful. The fact that I gave up my American lifestyle, foods, culture, and regular routine to completely indulge in 3 new countries, new cultures, new foods, and so much more. I feel like everyone should have a "two-week" experience in a new place. By the middle/end of the trip, I felt fully emerged into the new culture & new habitats.

My favorite place I went to was Segovia, Spain. I know that's the most random place - but it's not! It's just 30 minutes from Madrid, and it's a small Spanish town. I did a whole blogpost on it (HERE), but I really felt like that was the experience I went to Europe to have. It was not commercialized at all (okay one Burger King & one Dunkin Donuts) but that was it. I was actually walking along a road with NO sidewalks, next to homes, with cars going up and down the road nearly ONE INCH from my body. It was so beautiful. UGH. I loved it so much. It inspired me to visit more smaller European towns!

BUT. After spending two weeks in Europe, and have previously traveled there before, I'm ready to see the other side of the world. My top 3 places to see before I'm 25 (AH TWO YEARS AWAY IM OLD) is Australia. Thailand. And India. India was never on my bucket list; but for a project I'm working on and now I'm obsessed with going there. India, to me, is a TOTALLY different place than where I'm from (USA), and because I never thought I'd get there - it makes me want to go there so much more. Like to be in INDIA! Are you kidding! I'm obsessed with looking at pictures of so many places there. I'm hoping to get there before the end of the year...but we'll see.

Australia is another dream. To be on the other side of the world. AH. The beaches, the food, the culture, the landscape. I spend way too much time looking at photos of Australia that if I spent that same amount of time of work, I'd have enough money to spend 3 months there (LOL JK I WORK RETAIL). But UGH. Once I get to Australia, I'll know I will have achieved my life goal, *travel wise lol.

And Thailand. That's another dream place I'm DYING to visit. THE PHI PHIS. So beautiful! I want to visit so many places in Thailand so I'd probably have to spend like 2-3 weeks there. (Krabi, Phi Phis, Phuket, Koh Samui, Bangkok, + more!) It's a dream beach place for me and I could honestly see myself moving there for a few months to write, or photograph or anything.
