Segovia, Spain

July 03, 2018

While visiting Spain this past month, I took a train to Segovia, which was just thirty minutes outside of Madrid! We went to Segovia to visit the Alcàzar of Segovia, and were able to explore the old-style town, as well!

If you're planning on visiting the Alcàzar of Segovia let me give you this big tip: take a taxi from the train station to the castle! LOL. My mom & I read on a blog that it was a 20 minute walk from the train station to the castle WRONG! It was a 20 minute bus ride to the mini town, and then another 20 minute walk through the town, up to the castle. It threw our time off a little bit because we had a train time to make back to Madrid.

BUT

nonetheless, I was so blown away by this beautiful little town, and I think it was my favorite place we saw on the trip.

If you recognize this, it's because this is the castle that was inspired for the Disney film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. :~') My favorite Disney movie.

The photographs below are from our walk up to the castle. It was my favorite moment from the trip. When I think of Europe, personally, these small and old-style towns come first to my mind, and it met every expectation I had!

I MEAN LOOK AT THIS SPOT.
I'm seriously planning on printing this, framing it, and hanging it in my apartment

My dress is from Luca & Grae! It's my favorite dress in my closet at the moment because it's so flattering due to it's length, and I love the lowly sleeves, as well as the polka dots. LINK HERE

These pictures, below, are from our walk up to the castle. We were very near, and high up, it was beyond beautiful. I wanted to get a photograph so I would always remember being above this beautiful Spanish town.

As funny as it may be, I really want to travel back to Segovia! I would love to spend a day or two there to write, and explore a little bit. There was so much inspiration hidden in the beautiful streets and culture of this town. As I mentioned, it was just a mere thirty minute train ride from Madrid, and I would highly recommend this to be on your list of places to travel to!

See you next time xxxx
